Kadlana stared at her leg, the scar no longer visible due to magical healing. The old gunshot wound never worried her anymore, she didn't even limp. She had once faced humans, and even been shot at. She'd run from helicopters once, thundering loud birds of steel, chopping the sky with their knife-wings. Kadlana's amethyst fur shuffled with barely suppressed fear. The humans that had come after her with their weapons and had proved how senseless and evil humans could be. She'd never known any other animal to kill for the sake of killing. Even her own kind were appalled, for if they had the energy to bring anything down, it was food. Always food.

She caught a scent as it coiled through the trees, and her ears perked forward, eager for company she trotted forward. She followed the scent, its trail as obvious to her as a cobblestone path. The scent was kind, luring and subtle. It was a scent that she didn't know. She had to know all the wolves around here. How could there be one she didn't know? She was too shy to join the larger pack over in Hallows Deep. There was something about this place that called to her anyway. There were few wolves about. This one was new and unique.

She crept through the forest seeking her quarry. The young wolf danced happily as she saw the wolf that had entered the territory. She bounded happily over once she was sure her new friend had noticed her. The keenly nosed wolf had found the young half wolf only moments before, but she knew that this would prove to be a good omen.

Not caring much about intros, she introduced herself heartily, then bounded up and down, bouncing and cajoling her new friend. She was always happy to meet new animals, wolves especially. "I am Kadlana." she said. The pain of her past experience with humans evaporated when she saw this wolf. She felt endeared to her instantly, and she wasn't sure why. Used to the instant, constant magic of Tir'Rielle Island, she wondered if this was some symbol or trace of that subtle energy.

"I love to play! I don't know you. I have met most of the other wolves around here, but they're in some other pack. I am the only one in this particular place. I like it here." She spoke quickly. With a gleeful bound she bounced up, teasing her friend into conversation.
