In the Ebonwing stories, J'nar is currently the mount to Gwydionne, however, as you can see, that is not where he began. He began life in a cloud of mist as all Felshae do, a shard of fae magic strayed with a bit of cat hair and faery dust, something that rarely happens. He served as the Guardian of the crossroads for many years, providing his service and defending the Ways, magical portals that kept all time organized and neat. When times were sealed off, they were guarded by him. When a great catastrophe shattered the time portals, J'nar survived but was left jobless.

In an effort to serve, a compulsion he feels to the Divinity that created him, the Faeform, or Abathia, he wants to serve the cause of good whatever that may be. Here he is pictured with a young angel who served in the flights you can read about in the prologue to the story. He was treated like a pet but always viewed as demonic. When he tired of this service, and the woman he worked with had moved on to other things, he also moved on.

He came to serve on the Island of Tir'Rielle guarding and guiding its magic (this is when the horseart game takes place, and the hybrid art game). When he is done here, he will go on to serve Gwyidionne and back and forth as their needs may arise. Sometimes he is needed to help guard the island, but other times he is needed to help guard Gydionne. When dispelled from the magical item that summons him, he may return to Tir'Rielle to serve any duties he has while there.

These are magical Hybrid creatures of cats, fairies and dragons or something like that, they say. They can be bred in the Hybrid Art game. Can hybridize with anything, shapechange and they are immortal. They can all shapeshift. They are venomous (through the tail). They can turn themselves invisible.

TO MAKE A FELSHAE STARTER: PLEASE ASK FOR PERMISSION FIRST and I will help you design your character and if you want I can give you bloodlines.

NATURAL LARGE CAT FORM: A horse sized, large cat of your species choice with wings and horns (any kind of combo of wings and horns). Venomous prong on tail.

HOUSE CAT FORM: Can be the size of a housecat and looks like a normal housecat. Can grow wings and horns (that match large size) if they want, but they do not always have these traits (this is their only mundane looking form). Venomous prong on tail if they want.

HUMANOID FORM: Limited shapechange into an elflike being (about 5-6 feet tall) with wings and horns (that match feline forms). Character can choose to have human skin or grow fur (matches cat forms, either one). May never look completely human.

DISCIPLINES: SHAPESHIFTING MAGIC (can exercise magic to shapeshifting magic to take other forms).

Magic: Shapeshifting, can become invisible for a few minutes each day, flying

Attacks: Claws, bite, rake, horn gore, tail venom



Magic: Shapeshifting (Typical felshae forms such as a cub form, kitty cat form, human form is actually a pantherman). He has extra Shapeshifting training and can shapeshift into a vehicle. Telekinesis, Telepathy and maybe more, he's very enigmatic. Used to be able to time travel, but not anymore.

The Art of Stephanie Small is a complex blend of mythical and real. This is your personal invitation to enjoy a tour through the magical and mundane. There is something beyond fantasy here. This is a mystical land just for you. If you like something real or mundane, Stephanie creates stunning domestic and wild animals. She studies biology and has a love of the ocean and wild animals. Horses, wolves, foxes, ponies, deer, dogs, cats, panthers, lions, fish, tigers and other creatures are some of the animals she draws. She has done animal pet portraits and is available for commission by emailing stephanie@clipclopworkshop.com for more information.  

Stephanie can be commissioned to do custom artwork including portraits of people, animals, homes or whatever your imagination can devise. Stephanie Small is an artist located in California but she has spent time all over Oregon. Nature is an influential inspiration to Stephanie, as she seeks to augment and reflect what she sees around her in a variety of mediums. Inspired by medieval art, the fantasy and science fiction genre and more, Stephanie has developed a style of mythical realism. Stephanie uses a variety of styles and mixed mediums in her artwork. She regularly uses digital mediums such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter and more. She favors traditional mediums such as colored pencil, chalk, pen, ink, pencil, acrylic, watercolor. She has been known to adapt fabric, recycled art, recycled purses to create art that is both useful and stylish.

 

Stephanie has been interviewed and featured in several magazines and websites. Her artwork has been published several times in books and magazines. She is best known for artwork featured in publications such as the Page, the Twisted Vine, the Unicorn and others. Her artwork will be featured on the cover of several upcoming books and publications. 

She often donates teaching, administrative assistance, research and artwork to many local non-profits. She has taught in-person and online classes on food preservation, writing, gardening, spirituality, unicorns, art and more. She has worked for (and with) the local government to initiate youth projects, senior events and business support.

Stephanie loves unicorns and the horses she grew up with. It is clear in her art. She also loves mermaids. She even has a set of mermaid fins she can swim in. Stephanie Small finds inspiration in the animals of the ocean such as whales, orcas, narwhals and dolphins.
