WATER ELEMENT
(but there are heavy overtones of Earth elements)

A unicorn and a water dragon meet beneath summer boughs.

About the Picture

This was a commemorative piece of all the elements and how we yearn to connect with them. It was specifically made as a contest entry, but I had a lot of fun with the background (trying to make the summery atmosphere recognized). The pale, bluish greens of spring begin to give in to the yellowing greens of summer and deep browns. During this time, animals find coolness in the shades of our local forests and in the local creeks and bodies of water. Summer is very hot where we live, but luckily, the thick forests and waters help cool us around here.

This unicorn is Abathia, in one of her many forms. She is wandering the forest, as she likes to do. The dragon shown is one that I want to let people know more about. This is a sort of nessie dragon and as of yet, has not gotten a name yet. I have to see if anyone in my game actually talks to it, lol. Anyway, Abathis is weilding the powers of water, but you'll notice other items in her spell, this is because she can actually use all of them. However, the one she is trying to connect with is the water, which is why she's communing with the sea dragon. This is her form of meditation I would suppose.
